Available Positions: Theatre Nurses Scrub Practitioners Anaesthetic Practitioners Recovery Practitioners Responsibilities: Theatre Nurses: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care. Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available. Monitor patients’ vital signs and assist in their recovery following surgery. Adhere to sterile techniques and infection control protocols. Scrub Practitioners: Prepare and set up the operating room, ensuring sterility and availability of necessary instruments and supplies. Scrub in and assist surgeons during surgical interventions, maintaining a sterile environment. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instruments and supplies during procedures. Possess thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and instrumentation. Anaesthetic Practitioners: Assist in the administration of anaesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Monitor patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels during anaesthesia. Ensure patient safety throughout the procedure by managing airways and monitoring patient responses. Collaborate with the surgical team to optimise patient outcomes. Recovery Practitioners: Monitor and care for patients in the recovery area following surgery. Assess patients’ post-operative condition, including vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress. Administer medications and provide appropriate interventions to manage pain and facilitate recovery. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patients’ safe transition to the appropriate post-operative care setting. Requirements: Relevant qualifications and registration with the appropriate professional bodies. Proven experience in a similar role within a theatre setting. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and infection control. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.
