This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 40 hours per week. Who are Novus Gower? At Novus Gower, we work with passion, care, and commitment to create the foundations for change. Site Information HMP Parc Prison is a Category B men's prison located in Bridgend, Wales. The prison accommodates individuals who have been convicted of various offenses requiring secure custody and rehabilitation. The prisons aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society. Role Responsibilities As a Cover Supervisor you will develop and deliver high quality, learner focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus Gower policies and procedure. You will support learners and colleagues alike to ensure the best outcome for all who work within our sector. Please see the attached role profile for an overview of general role responsibilities. Skills, Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need to: Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy Teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months Have experience of creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners Have experience of achieving of quality targets Have experience of producing accurate and timely reports Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrate an ability to motivate and enthuse learners Have excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload, and meet deadlines and targets Always commit to positive teamworking Benefits As part of the Novus Gower family, colleagues benefit from an excellent package including: 33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays Significant Pension contributions Retail Discounts Employee Assistance Program Cycle to Work Scheme Safeguarding Novus Gower is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
