Senior Buyer / Materials Buyer (Permanent)Are you looking for a new role in Buying / Procurement?Sphere Solutions are seeking an experienced Buyer with construction experience to join a well-established contractor in Exeter.With at least 5 years’ experience as a Buyer, this opportunity will suit an individual with a proven track record in procuring materials, who is commercially aware, has excellent negotiation skills, and is local to Exeter.The RoleProcure all materials for the best possible priceMentor junior team membersAnalyse current supply chain price agreements and obtain competitive pricesCompare suppliers’ quotes and analyse prices against tender allowancesResearch product information and alternative productsAssist the accounts department to resolve/avoid invoice queriesMeasure quantities of materials if requiredThe PersonProven experience in a similar role with construction knowledgeHighly organised with attention to detailAbility to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environmentGood negotiation skillsComprehensive understanding of MS Excel & OutlookConstruction-related qualification preferred but not essentialOn offer is an excellent salary and package for the right candidate.
