Job Title: Finance AssistantLocation: Grimsby, Industry: Food Manufacturing / ProcessingRole Overview:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our transactional finance operations and month-end processes. This role is integral to the smooth running of our finance function and will work closely with a junior Finance Assistant who is progressing rapidly in their development.Key Responsibilities:Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and on timeReconcile bank statements and supplier accountsAssist with month-end tasks including accruals, prepayments, and journal entriesMaintain accurate financial records and documentationSupport the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and analysisCollaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment queriesContribute to continuous improvement of financial processesRequirements:Previous experience in a transactional finance role ( accounts payable/receivable)Strong attention to detail and organisational skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software ( Sage, SAP, or similar)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellentmunication skillsAAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable.What We Offer:Opportunities for training and developmentSupportive team environmentCareer progression within a growing business
