THE ROLE: APPRENTICE - Accounts Assistant

LOCATION: Grimsby

SALARY: Starting at £14,722.50 for 12 months, then increasing to Real Living Wage

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday

TERMS: Fixed Term contract for the completion of an approved Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship qualification.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive individual to join our Accounts team. This is a great opportunity to join a successful & growing finance company. Due to expansion we are looking to recruit a motivated and driven Apprentice Accounts Assistant

Along with full on the job training, you will also work with an approved training provider to complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship qualification. Full training will be given to help you achieve the apprenticeship standard during your employment, whilst building your confidence and grow your career within a well-established and supportive company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying and processing payments, charges and invoices
  • Reconciling and analysing daily banking
  • Completion of daily chaps payments
  • Booking of hotels/trains as required
  • Monitor stationary supplies
  • Process Direct Debit claim
  • Reconciling petty cash

Person Specification

Essential:

Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent Telephone Communication Skills

Excellent Email Communication Skills

Be organised with workload and have excellent time management skills

Work independently and as part of a team

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Desirable:

General IT skills
