Stand alone Finance Manager role, based in Swindon paying £50,000Hybrid working arrangementsAbout Our ClientOur client is a well-established organisation, known for its commitment to delivering high-quality services and products. As a small-sized firm, they offer a collaborative and supportive working environment.Job DescriptionThe Finance Manager will be responsible for the below; Financial Reporting and AnalysisPrepare, review, and present monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow) to the Board.Produce monthly variance analysis and commentary against budget and forecast.Conduct monthly job costing analysis to monitor project profitability and efficiency.Prepare and maintain cashflow forecasts, with daily cash monitoring to manage working capital effectively.Lead the annual budget preparation process, coordinating with department heads and the Board.Financial Management and ControlsOversee all day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, banking, and reconciliations.Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and checks to safeguard company assets.Manage and mentor the finance team member, ensuring effective delegation and development.Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and related compliance.Oversee preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensure full HMRC compliance across all taxes.Systems and Process ImprovementContribute to the development and enhancement of IT and financial systems, streamlining processes and improving reporting efficiency.Support the implementation of system automation and digital transformation initiatives within finance.External and Statutory ComplianceLiaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure statutory accounts are accurate and filed on time.Ensure all Companies House filings are completed accurately and on schedule.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements.The Successful ApplicantA successful Finance Manager should have:A professional qualification in accounting or finance, such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA.Proven experience in accounting and financial management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage a team.Proficiency in financial software and tools.What's on OfferSalary of £50,000 - £55,00025 days holidayEmployer contribution of 3% and employee contribution of 5% to pension scheme.Permanent position offering stability and growth opportunities.Located in SwindonIf you are ready to take the next step in your career as a Finance Manager, please don't hesitate to get in touch
