Job Description We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in a vibrant and welcoming primary school in the heart of Newport, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join the dedicated team at the schoolAs a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a crucial role in helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. You will work closely with teachers to support the academic, emotional, and social development of pupils, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed in their learning journey. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young learners, particularly those who may require additional support. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and has a genuine interest in supporting their development. The successful candidate will ideally possess the following: Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or similar educational setting. A good understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and how to support students with various learning needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
