Based at state-of-the-art facilities just outside Royston, this growing company has garnered a number of high-profile corporate partners as it looks to develop their scalable robotics-based platform. As they expand, they are looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to take a technical leadership role with hands-on engineering responsibilities.The position is embedded within the robotics group of the company, taking project ownership of advanced robotic subsystems and broader software integration. Work will be a combination of design, testing and delivery for software within electro-mechanical systems. Specifically, this will involve high-performance control systems for autonomous mobile robotics, machine vision systems, and robotics arms. Requirements Degree in computer science, electronics or similar AND demonstrable project expertise working on industrial robotic systems including mobile robots, machine vision systems and multi-DoF arm robotics. Substantial experience with ROS 1 / 2 for robotic control systems and automation including network protocols. Experience of safety-critical systems used within automation. Extensive experience using Python for robotics. This is a senior role, so project leadership experience would be expected. This could include managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. Interested candidates must hold full rights to work within the UK without time restrictions.
