Are you an experienced CNC Programmer with a passion for precision engineering and a desire to work with advanced manufacturing technology? This could be your ideal next move.We're working with a forward-thinking automotive component manufacturer based in Witham, looking to expand their expert Machine Shop team. They are seeking a CAD/CAM CNC Programmer to support the production of high-quality components and tooling, working on 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines using Hypermill (training can be provided-pay may vary accordingly).What's in it for you?Up to £28 per hour (DOE)20 days holiday + 8 bank holidaysFull-time hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pmFree on-site parkingFriendly, skilled, and supportive teamTraining & development opportunities, including support with CAM software (Hypermill/others)A well-established and growing business with a strong reputationKey Responsibilities:Program 3-axis VMCs (with optional 4th/5th rotary tables) and 5-axis UMCs for one-off and low-volume production.Generate accurate, efficient CNC programs using Hypermill or equivalent CAM software (PowerMILL, MasterCAM, Fusion 360, EdgeCAM).Design custom fixtures using CAD for single-part and production use.Collaborate with shop floor engineers to refine and optimise machining processes.Provide DFM input to the design team for complex jobs.Share expertise and mentor apprentices within the team.What we're looking for:Proven CAD/CAM CNC programming experience.Proficiency in Hypermill or similar CAM software.Knowledge of a range of materials including aluminium, steels, plastics, carbon fibre, and epoxy board.Strong communicator with a proactive and collaborative approach.This is a permanent position, subject to a successful 13-week probation period.If you're ready to take the next step in your CNC programming career, apply now or call Prime Appointments and ask for Simon Clark for a confidential chat.
