About the Role: This three-bed residential home provides care for young people with learning difficulties and emotional and behavioural needs. As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in leading a team of support staff, ensuring high standards of care, and helping young people thrive in a safe, nurturing environment What will your responsibilities be? In this role, you will, Support the management team in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care Lead and mentor a team of Support Workers Ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance (Children’s Homes Regulations 2015) Promote a culture of emotional warmth and trauma-informed care Build strong, empathetic relationships with young people, families, and professionals Participate in daily routines, activities, and reflective practice Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning Benefits: Base salary: £29,047 per annum (DOE) Sleep-in payments: £63 per night (average 1 per week) Total average salary: £32,323 per annum Annual leave: 28 days + 3 paid wellness days Wellbeing perks: Wellness Wednesdays, birthday leave, and fun wellbeing activities Bonuses: £100 for ‘Good’ OFSTED rating £250 for ‘Outstanding’ Career development: Ongoing training, leadership development, and long-service salary reviews Other perks: Takeaway night for new starters, pension scheme, and more Qualifications & Experience: To be successful in this role you must have,  Minimum 1 year’s experience in residential childcare Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it) Understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic models (e.g., PACE, POP) Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills UK driving licence Clear DBS and positive references Must be 21+ due to registration requirements Reasonable Adjustments: If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team.
