We have an exciting role for a qualified social worker to join the Safeguarding Adult Team in Bolton. This is Borough wide service dealing with new customers or customers who are not currently allocated to qualified workers in other teams. This will involve working as a duty work screening safeguarding referrals, approximately 2 days per week; and also holding your own Section 42 enquiries Section 42, Care Act 2014. We are a small, dedicated team who are very supportive of each other. The worker will be required to follow the safeguarding policy and procedure in Bolton and to have knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, as MCA assessments and Best Interests decisions also form a large part of the work that we do. Key Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the Children’s First Partnership Hub (CFPH), including Early Help and MASH functions.Manage triage and screening of referrals, ensuring timely and evidence-based decision-making.Ensure statutory safeguarding duties are met in line with the Safeguarding Children’s Partnership threshold document.Lead multi-agency decision-making processes and ensure correct thresholds are applied.Supervise and support staff including Social Workers, CAROs, and Business Support Officers.Maintain high standards of information sharing and collaborative working with partner agencies.Champion strength-based and relationship-focused practice across the team.Provide management oversight of contact records and referrals, ensuring child-focused and safe decisions.Support quality assurance through audits and learning reviews.
