If you enjoy behaviour, child development, or have your eye on a future career in educational psychology, this role gives you the practical grounding you’ll love.What you'll be doing as a SEN Teaching Assistant Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs including autism, ADHD, social communication differences, and SEMH Helping children navigate routines, regulate emotions, and engage with learning Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals Using your psychology insight to understand triggers, build trust, and celebrate small wins Creating a calm, safe learning environment where pupils feel understood and supported What we’re looking for A psychology (or related) degree Experience with children or young people, paid or voluntary A patient, positive approach and confidence around behaviour Someone who’s reflective, resilient, and eager to develop their practice What you’ll gain from Protocol Education Hands-on experience that’s perfect for progressing into Educational Psychology, CAMHS, mental health roles, or teaching Free CPD in Autism Awareness, Behaviour Management, Safeguarding, and more A dedicated consultant who supports you every step of the way Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies If this sounds like the role for you and you are wanting to have some experience working with children after your degree apply for this roleAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
