Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Associate Greater London – £100,000 - £120,000 Join a market-leading team shaping the future of digital regulation. A leading US law firm with an excellent foothold in the tech sector is seeking a talented Associate (2–5 years’ PQE) to join its growing London-based Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity practice. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of data protection, cybersecurity, and emerging digital regulatory frameworks - including the DSA, DMA, AI Act and UK Online Safety Act for some of the world’s most innovative and high-growth companies. About the Role As part of a globally integrated team, you’ll advise on high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional matters spanning privacy law, data breaches, digital compliance, and strategic regulatory engagement. The role offers exposure to a broad range of industries, from financial services and healthtech to social media and connected mobility, and involves close collaboration with colleagues in Europe, the , and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support on GDPR and UK GDPR compliance programs, cybersecurity incident response, and regulatory investigations Advise on cross-border data transfers, platform regulation, AI governance, and data ethics Work with start-ups, scale-ups, and multinational tech companies across high-growth sectors Contribute to litigation strategy and corporate transactional due diligence What We’re Looking For: 2–4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in data protection and cybersecurity Qualified solicitor in England & Wales Experience advising on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and cyber-related compliance and risk Strong legal analysis, communication, and drafting skills A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in working in a fast-paced, international practice Desirable (but not essential): Experience engaging with regulators such as the ICO, CNIL, or other global data protection authorities Background in tech or an understanding of digital infrastructure, platforms, or AI tools Familiarity with programming, network, or web/database technologies or prior cross-border privacy experience Why Join?
