You would be key in supporting the management of a diverse client portfolio, preparing financial accounts, and covering various aspects of taxation. You will be key to the development of junior team members and will be supported with career progression. Job Description for the Senior Accountant:Client management for a portfolio of clients including individuals, SMEs, and larger organisationsKey point of contact for client queriesPreparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, VAT returns, and personal tax returnsCompliance with statutory requirements and deadlines for annual filings and tax submissionsAbility to stay abreast of changes within tax legislation allowing clients to be notified accordinglyTaking the lead on preparing monthly and quarterly management accountsAssisting and advising clients on budgeting, cash flow forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial planningAssist in mentoring, supporting, and advising junior team members to ensure career progression while reviewing their work for accuracy and complianceCollaborate with colleagues to ensure continuous improvement of internal processes to enhance efficiency and serviceUtilisation of accounting software Requirements for the Senior Accountant:ACA or ACCA Qualification (or equivalent)Minimum of 4 years accountancy practice experienceExperience of dealing with a varied client portfolioStrong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulationsAbility to prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and tax returnsExperience in supervising and mentoring junior accountantsProficiency in accounting software: Xero and QuickBooksStrong, demonstrable IT skills, particularly ExcelA strong communicator with good organisational skills A detail-conscious individual with great attention to accuracy Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:15 am – 5:00 pm Friday 8:30 am – 1:00 pm Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 Per Annum Brampton Recruitment is an independent commercial and Accounts and finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire Chesire, and the Greater Manchester region.
