Salary is pro rata'd on this basisJob title:Training Delivery Instructor (Weapons Engineering)Job Description:What you'll be doing: Delivering training in maintenance principles of Royal Navy Weapon Systems in support of the Weapon Engineering (WE) Department Delivering training to groups of up to 16 delegatesUsing data, information and insight on the performance of individual establishment, to drive continuous improvement and learning across Royal Navy training.Working collaboratively with Learning and Development, Training Delivery staff, to identify and support a personalised approach to learning and development, focussing on the learner journey based on accurate assessments of the particular knowledge, skills and understanding that every trainee brings.Communicating and representing the needs of Weapons Engineering Training to the Delivery Team LeaderSupporting and advising on the piloting and implementation of modernised training courses within establishmentWhat we're looking for:Essential Skills/Experience/QualificationsElectrical qualification required (Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering, would be an advantage)Ability to liaise with stakeholdersAbility to work within a team environment as well as using own initiativeMust be able to be cleared to UK SC levelDesirable Skills/Experience/QualificationsKnowledge of Royal Navy training and/or experience, would be an advantage especially in Weapon Systems and Ordnance Previous training delivery experience would be an advantageAbout SelborneSelborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK, Fujitsu and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.Our 'one team' philosophy is about collaboration and openness, key to the success of this programme.
