Job Title: European Road Freight OperatorLocation: Morley, LS27 Salary: £30, – £35, DOEFlexible hours: 7:30-16:00 and 9:00-17:30 (37.5 hour week)European Road Freight Operator Job Purpose:To support the operations team in the coordination and execution of European road freight services. The role will involve assisting with transport planning, customer communication, customs formalities, and general administrative duties. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to develop a career in international logistics, with full training provided.European Road Freight Operator Key Responsibilities:Assist Senior Operators in planning groupage, full-load, and express deliveries to and from European destinationsLiaise with round-trip drivers to support daily operationsSupport the sourcing of one-way international equipment and assist in negotiating with hauliersMaintain regular communication with overseas agents and logistics partnersAssist in allocating domestic collections and deliveries to in-house and third-party hauliersRespond to customer queries and provide shipment updatesContribute to the monitoring of KPIs for key clientsPerform accurate data entry and help generate required documentationProvide spot rate quotations under supervisionAssist with charging files in preparation for invoicingSupport customs clearance processes, including export/import declarations, GVMS, and NCTS proceduresEuropean Road Freight Operator Skills and Experience Required:Interest in European road freight or a similar logistics/transport roleBasic understanding or willingness to learn customs procedures and documentationFamiliarity with or willingness to learn about import/export processesProficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and ExcelGood administrative skills with strong attention to detailClear and confident communication skills, both written and verbalCustomer-focused with a professional attitudeCommercial awareness or willingness to develop an understanding of cost-effective operationsBenefits:25 days + bank holidays – 2 days to be used at ChristmasYearly bonusParking availableFlexible hoursFull training and mentorship providedCareer progressionWR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
