This opportunity offers great security and stability in the current economic climate. With progressive training and development whilst being supported by a friendly and welcoming team. Role Description Completing scheduled maintenance and reactive maintenance on various mechanical machinery Working within a team to support the manufacturing process Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering and production-based issues Troubleshooting issues and suggesting solutions to prevent reoccurrences Communicating with Production Managers and Team Leaders on progress of issues Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing necessary repairs and reporting status within the maintenance recording system.Skills and Qualifications Time served Mechanical Engineer with solid industry experience in manufacturing Minimum City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering (or similar) Good fitting skills Hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience Experience of planned maintenance and reactive maintenance, continuous improvement/lean manufacturing Ability to weld and fabricate (desirable) Well organised, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines. Good diligence Proactive approach to problem solving.
