Graduate Structural EngineerTorquay This is a great opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic graduate structural engineer to join a successful, well established, civil and structural design practice near Torquay. Working as a graduate structural engineer you will; work on a diverse and interesting range of projects throughout the southwest and across different sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health. working with exceptional colleagues on the structural design of challenging projects that will improve your knowledge and understanding of structural engineering. Liaise and co-ordinate with our infrastructure, highways and drainage engineers and you will be involved in every aspect of scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and project management. produce drawings using AutoCAD or Revit prepare structural design calculations on a project basis using the current Eurocodes, BS Standards and Approved Codes of Practice You will assist with coordinating the structural and civil engineering aspects of the design process liaise with other engineering disciplines within the practice Accompany senior engineers to site visits/meetings The Candidate: relevant BEng/MEng in Engineering 12 months experience working in an engineering environment Enthusiastic self-motivated team player good verbal and written communication skills strong work ethic ability to work under own initiative A working knowledge of Civils 3D and AutoCAD For this Graduate structural engineer role you will be offered; Competitive salary dependant on experience 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays holiday buy back scheme Company Pension scheme discretionary performance bonus fully supported towards Chartership BUPA Employee Assistance Programme free onsite parking Christmas shutdown permanent, full time role offering great opportunities to progress and train To discuss this Graduate Structural Engineer role please get in touch with MIKAELA today
