Position: Environmental & Sustainability Manager Location: Croydon, London Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement sustainability programs tailored for schools, promoting eco-friendly practices within the educational community Lead initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and carbon footprint across multiple school sites Work closely with staff, students, and parents to raise awareness and encourage sustainable behaviours Conduct environmental audits and help schools meet sustainability standards and targets Monitor and report on environmental performance, providing regular updates and recommendations for improvement Stay informed about the latest environmental policies, trends, and educational sustainability strategies Collaborate with local authorities and community groups to support wider environmental goals Requirements: A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field Proven experience in environmental management, sustainability, or similar roles-ideally within educational settings Knowledge of sustainability regulations, green certifications, and eco-school initiatives Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff A proactive approach, with excellent project management and problem-solving abilities
