If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our team.The Area Manager is responsible for supporting the caretaking/cleaning provision and building management within in our community facilities, along with bookings in the school/hub estate. This role also encompassed the management of the school crossing patrol service ensuring the delivery of a high quality, professional service, delivering positive outcomes for the communities of North Lanarkshire Council.With a HND or equivalent in a relevant subject, you need to be an excellent communicator, have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands in a fast-paced environment and keep calm under pressure. You must also have experience of working in a customer focused environment.You will have extended management or supervisory experience in a relevant environment, be customer focussed and have experience of managing and controlling budgets and resources. Managing HR issues including recruitment, retention and motivation of staff and absence management is a central part of this role.You require to be able to prioritise and problem solve and have the ability to network and lead/guide your team. Previous experience of training staff would be desirable. It is essential that you have an understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation related to health & Safety.You must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire.INTERVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY 19 DECEMBER Work pattern:Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55 minute unpaid break)Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50 minute unpaid break)Working here at North Lanarkshire Council If you’re considering a career with us, you’ll be keen to know what’s in it for you.
