Construction Project Manager

Highland Consulting Group, a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is working with a well-established General Contractor in the Rochester, NY area to find an experienced Project Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position overseeing ground-up and fit-out projects from award to closeout with minimal travel required since most projects are within a reasonable commute. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise all phases of assigned construction projects. Develop and oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion. Estimate, negotiate, and track change orders. Manage project budgets and approve expenses. Handle contract administration and subcontractor/equipment buyouts. Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners and stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive project records and oversee closeout documentation. Conduct punch-list inspections alongside superintendents and owner representatives. Foster strong client relationships to secure repeat business. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects of $5M - $25M. Strong mix of ground up and fit out experience. Experience working with municipal, educational and healthcare projects is preferred. Proven ability to establish timelines, budgets, and negotiate change orders. Strong multi-tasking and leadership skills. Ability to lead multi-discipline team meetings effectively. A Bachelors degree in construction or a related field is preferred but not requiredstrong industry experience will be highly considered.
