Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Bath and North East Somerset – Frontline Safeguarding ServiceLocation: Bath and North East SomersetRate: £43.53 Per Hour Are you a qualified social worker looking for a fulfilling role? Bath and North East Somerset is seeking passionate professionals to join their frontline social work safeguarding service. You’ll be working with children and families requiring long-term statutory intervention, making a significant impact in their lives. What will your responsibilities be? You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. You will work with children and families requiring long-term statutory intervention, conducting thorough assessments and creating personalized care plans based on individuals’ needs. Providing emotional support, counseling, and acting as an advocate to ensure clients have access to necessary services and rights will be part of your role. Additionally, you will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. Contributing to information management processes and supporting social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained, will also be expected. You need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.
