Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Bath and North Somerset – Child Protection TeamLocation: Bath and North SomersetRate: £43.53 Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a Child Protection Team based in Bath and North Somerset. What will your responsibilities be? You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. You will provide a Social Work Service as lead professional to children and families, including looked after children and those on the Child Protection Register. You will be responsible for the professional assessment of client need and the consideration of available options and resources, ensuring the implementation of child’s plans. Maintaining accurate records, including the input of information to Social Work Services database, in accordance with Highland Council Policy, will be part of your role. You will prepare multi-agency child’s plans for the Children’s Reporter, child’s plan meetings, and reports for the Courts. The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the post. Preparing for supervision with the appropriate Practice Lead and participating in multi-disciplinary meetings will also be expected. Additionally, you will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. Contributing to information management processes and supporting social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained, will also be expected. You need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.
