Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Mental Health & Hospital Education Setting Location: Cambridge Start: ASAP / January Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential to go permanent)About the Setting: This specialist provision supports children and young people accessing mental health services. Staff provide a nurturing, holistic, and highly personalised education that helps pupils rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning.The Role: We’re seeking a compassionate, calm, and resilient LSA to support pupils with a wide range of emotional, medical, and mental health needs.Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small-group support Help pupils manage anxiety, emotional regulation, and re-engagement Adapt learning materials and activities Build safe, trusting relationships Work closely with teachers, therapists, and medical staff Ideal Candidate: Experience with SEND or vulnerable young people Calm, patient, and emotionally aware Able to respond sensitively to pupils’ wellbeing needs Passionate about making a positive impact All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
