The team is the first point of contact for new contacts about children, young people and their families in Durham. The MASH supports local safeguarding partners to share information and work together. You will play a critical role:listening and responding to staff and partners at all levels and from a range of different professional backgroundsinterpreting information, data and intelligencecommunicating and giving feedbackmaking informed and evidence based decisionscreating a positive interface for all MASH practitioners and partnerskeeping pace in a fast moving multi-agency environmentadhering to strict timescalesAbout you: To undertake this role you must be confident in risk identification and response, and a skilled decision-maker, experienced in child protection social work.You must be a nurturing and encouraging manager able to support a team through a period of change.You will be supported to manage the team of social workers and first contact officers by 3 social work consultants.What you need:A degree in Social Work or equivalentRegistered with Social Work EnglandAt least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local AuthoritiesCompleted relevant post-qualifying trainingEnhanced DBS checkExcellent communication and written skillsWhy Work with Pertemps Social Care?
