Vickerstock are working in partnership with a food production firm on the appointment of a Health and Safety Officer.As a Health & Safety Officer, you will support the business in implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures, and meeting all legal obligations whilst ensuring the Health, Safety and well-being of the workforce.In your new role:Offer support and Health & Safety guidance to managers, team leaders and staffAssist in the development and implementation of company policiesMaintain compliance with applicable Health & Safety regulationsPerform Health & Safety audits, inspections and incident investigationsPrepare and maintain accurate reports as requiredCarry out Risk Assessments and develop appropriate follow-up action plansConduct internal audits and support external audit processesFollow and reinforce all Health & Safety protocolsDeliver internal training sessions and coordinate external training where necessaryUphold and actively promote the organisation's core valuesWhat you will need to succeed:2+ years' experience within a similar H&S roleRelevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)Experience with report writing, auditing, RAMSGood communication skillsIT and numeracy skills (MS Office)Full clean driving licenseDesirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):NEBOSH Diploma or DegreeExperience within the food industryFor a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
