Role: Director of Governance, Risk and Regulatory ComplianceLocation: Flexible South East / South West (Southern England travel) Salary: £115,000 + package Duration: Permanent Role Purpose To lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s goverance, risk, compliance and legal frameworks. The role ensures the organisation operates with integrity, transparency and accountability, while meeting all regulatory, legal and ethical obligations. It provides strategic leadership for the Company Secretariat, legal services, and compliance assurance, and acts as a key advisor to the Executive and Group Boards. The role also champions a culture of assurance, risk awareness and high performance across the organisation. Experience and Qualifications Qualified Chartered Governance Professional (CGIUKI) through the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (formerly ICSA), or equivalent governance/legal qualification is desirable but not essential Educated to degree level or equivalent senior professional experience. Substantial experience in: Strategic governance, legal, risk and compliance leadership o Working with Boards, Committees and Executive teams Regulatory engagement and legal oversight Managing large, multi-functional teams and complex budgets Leading cross-organisational assurance and risk initiatives Knowledge of: UK housing sector and regulatory environment Company, charity and community benefit society law Risk management, internal controls and assurance frameworks Data protection, anti-bribery and financial crime legislation Political, social and economic factors affecting housing provider — Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
