Job description 🌈 Job Opportunity: SEN Learning Support Assistants (x2) – Primary School, ChichesterA nurturing and inclusive primary school in Chichester is seeking two dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their team. These roles are to start ASAP for an initial 6-week placement, with the potential for extension following review. 📍 Location: Chichester 🕒 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 15:30pm 📅 Start Date: Immediate 📘 Contract Type: Temporary (initial 6 weeks, placement to be reviewed) About the Role: You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including complex learning and behavioural needs. Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual pupils. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support Assist with learning activities and classroom routines Support pupils’ emotional and social development Encourage independence and positive behaviour Help maintain a safe and supportive learning space Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to pupil progress reports Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with SEN (preferred) Patient, empathetic, and adaptable Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer: Supportive school environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact Potential for long-term or permanent placement Professional development opportunities Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
