Refuge Coordinator

We are currently working in partnership with a Charity in South Wales, who are looking to appoint a Refuge Coordinator on a temporary basis for 2 months (ongoing, potential for permanent role).This will be a full-time position (09:00 – 16:30, 10:30 – 18:00) with a rate of around £20.00 per hour.The ideal candidate will have experience with line manageement, plus MARAC, domestic violence and vulnerable women, but would also be open to transferrable skills in homelessness, substance misuse or mental health.A driver is required to travel around the Torfaen region, and DBS will need to be Enhanced and on the Update Service.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Lead and coordinate daily operations of the Refuge Service in Torfaen and Newport, ensuring trauma-informed, person-centred support for those affected by VAWDASVOversee safeguarding across the service, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation, and authorising adult and child referralsMonitor and audit service performance and data systems, identifying improvements and implementing action plansSupport adults and children through guidance, advocacy, and referrals to internal and external servicesProvide case management support and direction to staff, assisting with crises, complex cases, and team cover when required Experience required: Experience managing a team in a Supported Living settingSafeguarding Working hours: Mon – Fri09:00 – 16:30, 10:30 – 18:00 Please note that you require recent experience of line management to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.Don’t forget our recommendation scheme: Recommend a friend or colleague to us and receive up to £100 each once they have completed 20 days in a role via James Andrews Terms and conditions apply, contact us for details
