An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Skills Coach to join one of the UK’s largest providers of Apprenticeships and recruitment and training services to the automotive industry. This is a home-based role with travel required to cover the South East region such as Essex, Kent, Hampshire, Berkshire, and Hertfordshire so we would welcome applications from candidates in and around any of these locations. About the Company Our client has been successfully training and recruiting apprentices since 1998. They operate nationally and offer a full range of recruitment and training services to employers and employees. Each year they recruit and train thousands of people, from school-leavers to experienced staff in exciting Apprenticeships with some of the best known brands in the country. About the Role As a Skills Coach, you will be working with learners who are working towards achieving a level 2-5 apprenticeship standards in areas such as, heavy vehicle, light vehicle, MET and body and paint, providing professional competence monitoring, assessment, and feedback where you will be required to assess skills/competency and knowledge of apprentices against the standards and your responsibilities will include: Recruitment of new learners Complete Functional Skills with learners as required EPA preparation Conduct workplace induction for all new learners as detailed in current procedures Visits learners at workplace/ or remote through recorded session using Microsoft teams, carry out workplace reviews and assessments, gather evidence, assess progress and update leaner records in accordance with current procedures  Complete 28-day active learning sessions and 12-week reviews for each learner in accordance with current procedures Carry out Health and Safety monitoring and vetting of employers to ensure adequate facilities, insurance and statutory Health and Safety requirements Contribute to monthly meetings Monitor frequency, content and consistency of reviews and assessment throughout multiple site contracts Liaise with line manager to ensure co-ordination between on the job and off the job training Liaise with employers Provide Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to learners About You To be successful for the role of Skills Coach, you will be / have: Good organisation skills and be forward thinking Customer service focused Commercial and business awareness - to appoint suppliers with competitive pricing and achieve economies of scale where possible Be performance and results driven Provide information to managers external bodies as required To continuously update professional and academic knowledge Previous Light and Heavy Vehicle experience would be advantageous Personal Qualities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent relationship builder and highly process driven Proactive approach to problem identification and resolution Good multitasking skills and respond well to deadlines Have excellent attention to detail Desired Qualifications D Or A Units Assessor (Desired and/or willing to undertake) GCSE in English, Maths and IT or equivalent Confident and adept dealing with learners, parents, employers and awarding bodies A working knowledge of Awarding Body requirements and end point assessment process About the Rewards For the role of Skills Coach, your working hours will be 9am – 5.30pm Mon - Fri and you will receive £28,000 - £30,000 per annum plus benefits including: Car Allowance of £5,200 per annum (£433.33 per month)  Home based role with travel, England only 25 days annual leave (3 days set aside for Christmas shutdown)
