About the role Residential Support WorkerLocation: Kent Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time Salary: £90 to £180 per day via PAYE Start Date: January 2026Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN)? If so, we want to hear from youThe role:We are working in partnership with SEN Schools across Kent, committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for students with SEN. The residential support workers play a crucial role in creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere, ensuring that every child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with SEN in a residential setting.Assist with daily routines, including personal care, meals, and recreational activities.Implement individualized care plans and educational programs.Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages social, emotional, and educational development.Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive support for each student.Maintain accurate records and reports on students' progress and well-being.Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and welfare of all residents. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a SEN or residential care setting.Manual handling experince and training completedA compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.A commitment to continuous professional development.Understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
