As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales growth through new and established clients. This is a blended sales and design role, where you'll be contributing to design concepts, and presenting and selling solutions directly to clients.Our client is the only UK manufacturer of a full range of heavy and light-duty elasticated shock cords, ropes, and braids which meet current British Standards. These products serve sectors including Defence, Aerospace, Military, Fire & Rescue, Sport & Leisure, Theatre & Entertainment, OEM, and Industrial. Customers benefit from both off-the-shelf products and tailored, bespoke solutions.Initially, this role will be based at the head office in Bury, with ad hoc travel to customer sites. As the role develops, there may be more field-based work and potential international travel.Requirements: To be considered for the role you must have a * Technical appreciation, gained either from an Engineering background.An appreciation and the ability to read and understand technical drawings would be ideal but not essentialDemonstrate strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skillsBe energetic, commercially astute, proactive, and flexible in approachShow a positive, driven attitude with the ability to spot and maximise growth opportunitiesThe Culture: A supportive, collaborative, and close-knit workplace with highly knowledgeable and passionate employees.
