Your newpany Hays are currently partnered with an international property consultancy who are seeking a new team member in their Business Development team. The team are looking for someone with 2+ years experience specialising in Business Rates across the UK. Your new role Identify and engage potential clients across sectors impacted by business rates, including retail, logistics, hospitality, andmercial propertyBuild and maintain strong relationships with property owners, occupiers, and agents to understand their business rates challenges and offer tailored solutionsWork through the rating list to help generate leads and new customer baseDevelop and execute business development strategies to expand market share and increase revenue from business rates servicesWork closely with rating surveyors and valuation experts to ensure client proposals are accurate,petitive, and aligned with regulatory frameworks Monitor changes in legislation,ernment policy, and market trends affecting business rates, and translate insights into actionable business opportunities Preparepelling proposals, presentations, and tender documents for prospective clients and public sector contractsWhat you'll need to succeed Degree in Business, Real Estate, Surveying, or related fieldMRICS or IRRV/ RSA qualification (advantageous but not essential)Proven track record in business development, ideally within property, real estate, or professional servicesStrong understanding of UK business rates and rating legislation (preferred but not essential)Excellentmunication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentExperience using CRM systems and sales tracking toolsWhat you'll get in return Flexible working arrangementsProfessional development and training opportunitiesA collaborative and supportive team culture
