Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist with expertise in neurorehabilitation to join our esteemed team in Leatherhead. In this role, you will play a key role in providing specialized occupational therapy services to individuals with neurological conditions, focusing on promoting recovery, independence, and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with neurological conditions to identify functional deficits, goals, and barriers to recovery. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, evidence-based practice guidelines, and patient-centered goals. Provide specialized neurorehabilitation interventions to address cognitive, motor, sensory, and psychosocial impairments, utilizing a holistic and client-centered approach. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists, and rehabilitation nurses, to ensure coordinated and integrated care for patients. Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes and promote long-term functional independence. Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on strategies for managing neurological symptoms, maximizing independence, and facilitating community reintegration. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist. Significant experience working as an Occupational Therapist in neurorehabilitation settings, with a focus on neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and neurodegenerative disorders. Advanced knowledge and skills in neurorehabilitation assessment, treatment, and intervention techniques. Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and engage patients and their families in the rehabilitation process.
