Job DescriptionNewstaff Employment Services is looking for a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Support professional to join a busy team. This role will involve supporting and assisting with the upkeep and repair of various properties with this group of companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance work, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. If you take pride in maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, we want to hear from you Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems. Carrying out general repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and decorating. Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs performed. Work collaboratively with other team members to prioritise maintenance projects. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all maintenance activities. Carrying out external/internal window cleaning where and within health and safety regulations. Monthly health and safety audits. Maintaining the grounds, including mowing, flower beds, weeding and pruning. Dealing with deliveries and post. Driving the minibus as required. Must hold a full UK driving licence Requirements Previous experience in basic maintenance support and grounds maintenance. Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems. Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to maintenance tasks. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a maintenance environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Flexible availability to respond to maintenance needs as they arise. Desirable Skills/Qualifications: City & Guilds Time served apprenticeship Health & Safety in the workplace certificate level 2 or 3 NVQ in construction Current First Aid certificate Benefits Company Pension This role is 40 hours per week. Current hours are 8 am to 4 pm You will spend 3 days in the Luton office and 2 days carrying out property assessments on site. Salary: £27, pa to £29, pa + Benefits
