The Part-Time Financial Controller position will be the lead finance figure in the business and have significant visibility and influence on their continued growth leading into 2026.Job DescriptionIn this Part-Time Financial Controller role, you'll be expected to:Oversee financial operations, maintaining strong accounting controls, compliance, and timely monthly and annual reporting.Deliver accurate management accounts and KPIs each month, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.Lead and develop a small finance team, providing direction, mentorship, and effective performance management.Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with overall business strategy and operational goals.Manage year-end processes and external audits, preparing statutory accounts and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.Build and maintain strong relationships with group finance, auditors, banks, tax advisors, insurers, and pension providers.Support business planning through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to enable sound decision-making.Contribute strategically to business performance by identifying opportunities, managing risks, and enhancing profitability.The Successful ApplicantFor this role, we're looking for:A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.Proven expertise in financial reporting and management accounting.Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.Experience in the technology industry is advantageous.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.What's on OfferSalary ranging from £55,000 to £70,000 per annumHybrid working pattern - typically 3 days in officeExcellent employee benefits packagePotential for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and supportive company cultureThis is an excellent chance to advance your career as a Financial Controller in York.
