Part Time Qualified Social Worker - Adoption Team Salary: £35 - £38 / Hour Job type: Day to Day CoverLocation: Southend Save Share Apply now We are looking to recruit a Part Time Qualified Social Worker in the Adoption Team for 15.5 hours per week within Southend. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision and training opportunities. London Borough of Southend ensure that their social workers have as much support as possible, helping them to keep a really good work life balanceThe responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:Assess, recruit, and prepare prospective adoptive parents.Support the matching and placement of children with approved adopters.Provide guidance and support to children and families throughout the adoption journey.Facilitate support groups and training for adopters.Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for agency panels and courts.Champion permanence planning and ensure child safeguarding.Liaise with various agencies and professionals to support adopted children and their families.Offer post-adoption support, including accessing therapeutic servicesThe ideal candidate will have:Social Work England registrationEligibility to work in the UKSocial Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)Working with Ackerman Pierce you will be guaranteed weekly payment and access to continued profession development, including a dedicated consultant to support you through the interview and on boarding process. The position offers a long contract within a stable supportive team with a great location and excellent transport links as well as being close to central London.
