Description Our client are a rapidly growing Engineering Consultancy based in the centre of Newcastle. They provide engineering solutions to the Structural and Civil Engineering sectors to a broad base of customers and due to internal promotions, they are currently seeking to appoint a motivated Structural Engineer to join their busy office and forge a career within one of the Cities premier Consultancies. Working with their Senior Engineers, you will be working on a variety of projects across the region. You will be competent with AutoCAD and will be responsible for the structural engineering design of projects from inception to completion, producing the detailed design to meet the design and construction programmes, liaising with other members of the team and ensuring the co-ordination of design and detailing work required on the project. Your responsibilities as a Structural Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following: Assisting in preparing the designs, specifications, etc for the project Preparing reports Conducting routine inspection on the site to identify any potential problems Checking plans, designs and quantities for accuracy Co-ordinating with the other concerned professionals like architects, surveyors, contractors, etc. Analysing problems and developing innovative solutions They are looking for Degree qualified Candidates that have carried out some Structural Design on buildings, as the list of projects they have will enable you to hit the ground running This is an ideal role for someone with 12 months experience looking to make their next step in the industry.
