SEN Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Unit (KS1 & KS2) - Tower Hamlets
Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking to make a real difference in children's lives? A mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated SEN LSA to join their specialist unit, supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the SEN Teacher to deliver tailored learning experiences for children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties. Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Unit (KS1 & KS2)
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the SEN Teacher to plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, adapting resources and strategies to suit diverse learning styles.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), tracking student progress and providing feedback.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
Work as part of the SEN team, liaising with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other staff to ensure cohesive support for pupils.
Experience & Requirements:
Prior experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting is required.
Knowledge of supporting children across KS1 and KS2 is highly desirable.
A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
