Exciting Opportunity: On-Cycle Strategic Buyer

Are you ready to accelerate your career in procurement within the automotive industry? This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Strategic Buyer to join a prestigious and innovative automotive company on a maternity cover basis. With a competitive rate of £32.02/hr (inside IR35) and a hybrid working model of at least 2 days per week in the office, this position offers the perfect blend of flexibility and engagement in a vibrant work environment.

What You Will Do:

Lead global commodity sourcing through the global sourcing process until the vehicle launch.
Collaborate closely with Regional Delivery teams and engage with specialists within the Purchasing Function to ensure optimum value creation and delivery.
Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, representing the company both internally and externally with professionalism.
Support the Procurement Manager in developing supplier and internal stakeholder relationships for strategic and programme alignment.
Conduct Supplier Business Reviews, ensuring the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed.
Play a key role in contributing to the future strategy of the company, creating opportunities to cooperate with different business areas.
What You Will Bring:

Proven negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
A graduate with purchasing experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
Knowledge of engineering and international business.
A CIPS qualification would be advantageous.
A proactive approach, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
