SEN Teaching Assistant - Supporting a Pupil with Autism in Haringey
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism? A fantastic primary school in Haringey is seeking a proactive and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a young boy who requires additional support. This role, starting in January 2025, is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing behaviour and building positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism, focusing on emotional regulation and behaviour management.
Use creative and effective strategies to support learning and social development.
Collaborate with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.
Approach challenging situations with patience, confidence, and professionalism.
Teaching Assistant - The Ideal Candidate:
A skilled Teaching Assistant with experience in SEN, particularly Autism support.
Confident and resilient, with the ability to manage behavioural outbursts calmly.
A team player who can adapt quickly to the pupil's needs and school environment.
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to process one through Reeson Education.
