About the Role
As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and insightful lessons to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills for future careers in health and social care. You’ll play a vital role in guiding students through the curriculum, fostering both their academic success and their understanding of critical issues related to health, wellbeing, and community care.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering Quality Lessons: Planning and delivering engaging, challenging, and differentiated lessons that inspire students to achieve their potential.
Curriculum Development: Adapting and innovating the curriculum to ensure it remains relevant, current, and aligned with industry standards.
Student Support: Providing guidance and support to students, monitoring their progress, and encouraging their academic and personal development.
Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each student's holistic growth and success.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism or strong background in Health and Social Care.
Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 is preferred.
Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the current Health and Social Care curriculum.
Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students with a variety of teaching methods and resources.
