Our client is a leading franchise based in Taunton

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Workshop Controller to join their team and ensure the efficient running of our workshop operations.

Role Overview: As the Vehicle Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. You will work closely with the technicians, service advisors, and parts team to ensure a smooth workflow and meet customer expectations whilst also working being actively on the tools yourself.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring jobs are assigned to the right technicians.

* Monitor workflow and ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes.

* Carry out service / repair / diagnostic work

* Conduct quality control checks on completed work, ensuring high standards are met.

* Liaise with service advisors and parts teams to ensure smooth communication between departments.

* Provide support and guidance to technicians, helping them resolve complex repair issues.

* Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to within the workshop.

* Manage and monitor workshop productivity, aiming to meet and exceed KPIs.

* Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, ensuring documentation is up-to-date.

Key Requirements:

* Previous experience in a Workshop Controller or senior workshop role within the motor trade.

* Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance.

* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy, fast-paced environment.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Ability to work closely with multiple departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.

* MOT Licence and advantage but not essential

* Full UK driving license.
