Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual looking to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey? We are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive team in Amesbury, starting as soon as possible.

Role Overview

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a full-time position, perfect for someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping children overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to the assigned student, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
Assist with learning activities, ensuring the student remains engaged and on task.
Support the student's social and emotional development in line with their education plan.
Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and record the student's progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents/carers as required.
Promote positive behavior and help the student build confidence and independence.

Requirements

Experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 or SEN setting (desirable but not essential).
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for helping children succeed in their learning journey.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).TimePlan Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expect all staff to show this commitment.
