We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Primary Teacher in an Independent School in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, offering both day and residential placements. The school's alternative education programme is designed to provide pupils with the specialised support they need, going beyond what mainstream schools can offer. The successful candidate will:

Plan, teach, and assess a range of subjects and learning to support students' progression
Work as part of the team to deliver lessons, support positive behaviour, and to make students feel safe so that they can learn and achieve
Follow whole school systems to teaching and learning. We will support you with a full induction, we are a very supportive team
Support with report writing, help to expand our curriculum documents as part of a team, data collection, and clearly communicate with all stakeholdersOur ideal candidate will have:

At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision

Career Teachers are a leading national education agency that specialise in the recruitment of long term and daily supply teachers and support staff. As a teacher or teaching assistant, you will have a dedicated consultant who will support you with your career and who will give you access to a variety of opportunities that suit your needs.

All roles will require an enhanced criminal record disclosure (DBS), although we can help with this process a new application is required if your current DBS is not on the update service, and reference checks.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
