Job Description:

Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Locum Medicines Management Technician to join a reputable NHS hospital in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the pharmacy team in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across the hospital, contributing directly to patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the management of medicines across inpatient and outpatient services.
Support the implementation and review of medicine management policies and procedures.
Work with clinical teams to ensure patients receive the correct medications and doses.
Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and safety.
Conduct medicines reconciliation on patient admissions and discharges.
Monitor medication stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory management.
Provide advice and support to healthcare professionals regarding medicines management.
Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in medicines management is essential.
NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) or relevant qualification.
Experience working in a hospital or NHS setting is desirable.
Good knowledge of medicines management procedures and safety protocols.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
Hourly Rates:
The position offers competitive hourly rates between £15 to £23 per hour, depending on experience. The role is flexible, with the option to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week, providing a great work-life balance.
