SEN Teaching Assistant - 2:1 Autism Support in Year 3 (Haringey)

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Autism? A welcoming primary school in Haringey is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team in January 2025. This role involves working 2:1 to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism, alongside another experienced Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

Provide tailored support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism, ensuring their academic and social development.
Collaborate effectively with another Teaching Assistant to share responsibilities and create a nurturing environment.
Implement strategies to support the pupil's emotional regulation and engagement in class.
Assist with classroom activities and contribute to the inclusive ethos of the school.

Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with Autism or SEN needs.
A team player who can work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
Patient, understanding, and proactive in adapting to the needs of the child.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process one through Reeson Education.
