We have an exciting opportunity with one of our esteemed clients based in Swadlincote. Renowned for their exceptional work and high growth within their industry, they are searching for a dedicated professional to join their team as a SHEQ Manager at the manufacturing plant.

This role is pivotal, responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of safety protocols and quality control processes in a manufacturing plant that supplies products to the building sector. Our client values ambition and a commitment to excellence, making this an excellent place for someone who is looking to make a meaningful impact in their field.

Key Responsibilities SHEQ Manager:

* As the SHEQ Manager, your responsibilities will include promoting health and safety in the workplace, fostering a culture that prioritises customer service for both internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrating effective collaboration. The role will require you to develop, implement, and maintain safety policies in compliance with HSE regulations. Regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

* You will also be tasked with investigating workplace incidents and accidents, providing safety training for employees, and developing quality control procedures to ensure that products not only meet industry standards but also align with customer specifications. The position demands a keen analytical mind to maintain and analyse quality data, and you will collaborate with production teams to address any quality-related issues that arise.

* Additionally, the role includes coordinating with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and managing customer complaints effectively. Keeping abreast of local, state, and federal regulations is fundamental, and you will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and quality performance in the workplace.

Key Skills and Experience SHEQ Manager:

* The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in safety and quality management within a manufacturing environment, and must be NEBOSH qualified.

* Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with quality management software will be crucial for success in this role.

* Certifications in safety and quality management, such as Six Sigma or Certified Quality Engineer, are highly desirable.

* A full, clean driving license is also essential.

Benefits SHEQ Manager:

* Our client offers a competitive salary negotiable up to £50,000 per annum, complemented by a 10% performance bonus.

* Moreover, you can look forward to a company car and the flexibility afforded by a hybrid working model - depending on business needs, this includes both site and home/office work.
