Finance Director

Are you an experienced Finance Director from the manufacturing sector? Do you have a CIMA or ACCA qualification? Do you thrive working in a role where you’ll have an impact on wider business objectives.

We've been retained by a highly reputable manufacturer in Glossop who, due to recent growth, are looking to strengthen their finance function by recruiting a new divisional FD.

A key player in the C-suite, you'll be a partner to the Managing Director and together you’ll collaborate with the senior leadership team to meet financial objectives which will elevate the business further.

About You

* You will be a qualified Finance Director with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role (FMCG).

* You should also have worked in a global organisation.

* You’ll be looking for a role where you can join and stay for many years, making an impact on the finance strategy.

* Ideally, you'll be degree educated with a relevant accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.

* It's essential that you've got a background in manufacturing - a strong understanding of costings and US GAAP is important.

* You’ll be an inspiring leader and someone who wants to drive the finance function forward – nurturing your team and developing them in their careers.

* Working as a partner to the MD, you'll thrive in this role where collaboration is key; you’ll work on strategic projects across all areas of the business.

About The Job

* You'll join as Finance Director and will be responsible for the finance function for the UK division.

* You will head up a multi-discipline team encompassing transactional finance, IT and purchasing.

* As part of the leadership team, you'll guide the business on financial strategy - developing new policies and procedures, budget control and reporting.

* You'll develop and implement an internal audit programme, ensuring compliance with financial and statutory regulations.

* Your responsibilities also including reporting, analysis and risk management.

* There will be UK travel involved in your role at least twice per month and occasional US and EU travel.
