Role Overview:

* Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

* Location: Primary School in Tower Hamlets

* Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Term time only

* Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

* Start Date: ASAP

Please note that this position requires a willingness to assist with Personal Care as part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-to-one and group support for children with SEN, including those with Autism, Learning Difficulties, and ADHD.

* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring pupils’ engagement and progress.

* Support children with non-verbal Autism to communicate effectively and participate in class.

* Carry out personal care duties where required, such as helping with toileting, feeding, and mobility.

* Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement tailored learning plans.

* Foster a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring that all children feel supported and valued.

* Track and report on the progress of pupils with SEN to ensure their individual needs are met.

* Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements:

* Experience or knowledge of working with children with SEN, including those with Autism, Learning Difficulties, and ADHD.

* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

* Comfortable assisting with Personal Care tasks as required.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

* Willingness to undergo relevant training as required.

* Must be committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential in a Primary school setting.
